Munda / Within nature, with comfort and responsibility
In a traditional olive grove, cork and holm oak area or montado mediterranean forest, as rich in terms of biodiversity, as in terms of nature conservation, are these 4 traditional Mongolian yurts, isolated but close to Evoramonte village and amazing historical cities like Évora with the magical environment of the megalithic monuments and wildlife landscapes.Inspired by permaculture ethical principles, focusing on the lowest possible environmental impact, on the use of local and organic products and recycling of materials; concerned with sustainable living and with permanent balance between energy efficiency (solar and wood based) and water conservation.
The yurts are located at 4 different settings with plenty of space and privacy. Each yurt is equipped with a kitchen, shower and a composting toilet. They are prepared to accommodate couples or families with up to 2 children.
All yurts are equipped with salamander stoves and with solar environment heating and electricity; a King Size bed with a sheep wool mattress, two reclining chairs convertible into single beds.
Bed linen, towels, gas and wood are included.
Kitchen: totally equipped. Gas oven, mini fridge, traditional african fridge (Zeer).
Shower/Toilet: shower and composting toilet. Water is heated through solar paneling and ambient heating through salamander stove.
Biological swimming pool: Similar to a pond or a lake with a swimming area and a plant area with all the fauna and flora that make up this ecosystem.
Solar sauna: Located next to the swimming pool, it gives you the chance to run, dive and go for a thermal shock.
From November until May the yurts are available for long term rent. In the rest of the year they are used for short holiday renting and retreats.
