Typical Portuguese rural hamlet House, located within the owners’ property in agricultural plot of land which we cultivate, mostly for our family's needs. 5 minutes from the beach, a fishing village and half an hour from Lisbon, so it is possible to combine rural peace and quiet seaside life and visits to the big city. The house is set on a hillside with lovely views over the sea and the quiet valley. We have a agricultural land, with our own well, fruit trees and vegetables.
This an ideal opportunity to relax and spend the day walking in the green hills and valleys roundabout, doing the coastal walks, swimming or surfing in the sea; lay on the beach and to the sound of the waves. Take shelter from the sun in the cool romantic, green hills of Sintra with its castles and palaces. Go for a guided walk in the Mafra tapada nature reserve... Or go to town: shop for fresh local vegetables, fish or shellfish in the daily market, sample the restaurants of picturesque Ericeira or spend a morning or evening exploring Lisbon.

Traditional Portuguese family house, comfortable. 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin), living room with double sofa.
2 bathrooms – one with shower and one with bath. Fully equipped kitchen, with a gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and iron, and is fully equipped with all utensils.
Garden wild flowers and grasses, tables, chairs & sunshade. We have fresh season vegetables, some fruit, we have free range eggs, and also keep chickens and rabbits. It is all very safe for children and we can supply seasonal vegetables as available. There are communal barbecue.

The house is located in a small and quiet hamlet (Junqueiros) on a hillside surrounded by greenery but with glimpses of the glimmering sea in the distance.
Four minute drive to a beach renowned for its international surfing championships and a surf school and many beaches north and south.


5 minutes from Ericeira, a bustling fishing village with market , many restaurants, cinema, shopping etc. Half an hour drive to Sintra, a little more to Cascais. Half an hour's drive to Lisbon.

Meals (If Available):
A welcome pack of tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk, honey/jam, and (stored in the freezer for freshness) traditional bread and butter will be waiting for you. You can buy free range eggs and fresh locally grown vegetables from neighbours. Ericeira has a wonderful daily market, bakers, cafes, patisseries, restaurants and bars.

All utilities, bedding and towels are supplied and included in the rental price. The price includes gas, electricity and water.
