A lovely old stone village house modernised to make a comfortable and well equipped home.

There are 3 bedrooms( 2 double and 1 with bunkbeds)and a large and comfortable livingroom with TV, DVD and Video players as well as an iPod dock. The kitchen is well equipped and the family bathroom has an overbath shower. There is a sunny south facing balcony with extensive views ideal for a glass of wine whilst watching the sunsets. The garden is laid to grass with orange and walnut trees. There is a large gated courtyard at the front of the property for off street parking.
There are 2 restaurants and bars within walking distance.
The nearest town is Penela - about 2kms away - where there are all facilities including an indoor swimmimg pool, banks,bakers, restaurants, supermarkets, a cinema at weekends and a library with WiFi.
Further afield but within easy driving distance are Coimbra (Portugal's old capital and university city), Tomar with Unesco Heritage status, Conimbriga ( Portugal's best Roman site) and the sandy beaches of the Atlantic Coast. Altogether an ideal base for touring this beautiful part of the country
