We would love to welcome you to Oak Cottage, which is nestled under a large Oak Tree in the grounds of Quinta das Palmeiras. Do you enjoy relaxed family holidays amidst beautiful hills and stunning scenery; or do you like an adventure holiday, scuba diving, horse riding, mountain biking or quad biking; or just walking through the hills or visiting historic sites and buildings and picnics by the river…?

Whatever it is, Central Portugal is the place to do it and Oak Cottage is your ideal base. It sleeps up to 8, has 2 pools, BBQ and English/Euro TV.

Oak cottage is fully self contained and furnished with 3 bedrooms which can sleep 6 + cot. There is also a double sofa-bed in the lounge.

Guests have full use of the 2 pools, BBQ and gardens with a play areas and quiet areas and lots of sun and shade.

We encourage guests to pick fruit from our many trees, you have never really tasted an orange until you pick it fresh from the tree.

The property is in a small village, which has a well stocked mini-market and café bar a short walk away. There are many market towns within 5-10 minutes drive, with cafes, restaurants, pharmacies, medical centre and supermarkets, so everything is close.

There are weekly markets in all the main towns and many Festas (festivals) throughout the year.

Central Portugal has many historic sites and castles. Pre-historic, Roman and Templar history is all around us. We are within 40 min drive of Fatima and Golega (International Horse Fair in November.

Games, Toys and Books are available and English and European TV.

Meals (If Available):
A Welcome Pack or Tea Bags, Coffee, Sugar, Milk and Water will be waiting for you.
There is Cafe/Bar in the village only a few minutes walk.

Extra charge of 25 Euros for use of sofa bed.
A Grocery Pack can be arranged for your arrival, email your order and we will shop for you.
We can give you details of car hire or trains or anything else you require prior to your trip.

Prices in euros:
Low Season October - May is 350 Euros per week or 55 per night.
High Season June - September is 450 Euros per week or 65 per night.
Mininum 2 nights booking.

Winter Let
Heating is avaialable in the winter, both bathrooms have fitted heaters and the lounge area has a wood-burning stove.

Self Catering accomodation gives you the full flexibility to enjoy your holiday to the full. You have use of the BBQ and the kitchen is fully fitted and equipped for your stay. Childrens utensils and crockery are also available. We have a selection of toys and books to keep old and young entertained.
