Located 3 km of Castelo de Bode. The reservoir of Castelo de Bode is the largest body of fresh water in Portugal It follows the path of the River Zezęre through the region of the Ribatejo. Surrounded by forests of Pine and Eucalyptus trees the lake is a favourite with locals and tourists alike.
Whether you enjoy fishing, water skiing, sailing, swimming, canoeing or simply breath taking scenery Castelo de Bode has something for everyone. The reservoir is a haven for birds and wildlife and even has it's own eco-museum, based in the village of Martinchel. The dam is an impressive structure and is a popular tourist spot for Portuguese. Most weekends and holidays there are stalls selling dried fruits and traditional crafts.

Centro Náutico do Zęzere , which features a wide range of nautical and other sports. Approx. 5km.
-Golega , visit the International horse festival in November approx 20km
- Vila de Rei, geographical centre of Portugal. Approx. 30km
- Tomar, home to the Convento de Cristo , UNESCO World Heritage Site. Approx. 20km
Nearest airports : Lisbon (approx. 1 1/2 hours); Porto (approx. 2 ˝ hours).
Pets are welcome. Our zoo at the moment contains a goat, rabbits, cats and dogs..
