Situated on the edge of the sleepy village of Pereiro de Baixo and just 1.5 miles from the town of Vila Nova de Poiares lies our small Quinta offering bed and breakfast accommodation.

Quinta dos Sonhos is surrounded by beautiful woodland offering miles of walking for the more active. The Mondego river is about 4 miles down the road and from here you can take a canoeing trip down the river to Coimbra taking in the stunning scenery.

A local Portuguese bar is just a short stroll away and there are numerous restaurants in and around Vila Nova de Poiares.

If you prefer a more relaxed lifestyle, there are numerous river beaches nearby with on site bars and cafes.

The lovely city of Coimbra is 20 minutes drive with its 3 shopping malls and beautiful historic buildings.

If you wish to travel a little further, the beaches of Figuera da Foz on the west coast of Portugal are just 45 minutes drive. The city of Porto is approximately 2 hours drive and Lisbon 2 ½ to 3. Alternatively, there is an excellent rail service that runs from Coimbra to both Porto and Lisbon.

Continental breakfast may be taken either in our courtyard, on the back patio where you may see our resident horse and pony grazing in their paddock, or indoors in our dining room on cooler days.
