Self-catering cottage for rent to sleep 2/3 with private garden.

Our cosy holiday cottage is situated in a peaceful forested valley 20 kms
north of the central Portuguese town of Tomar. It contains a double
bedroom, bathroom and a kitchen/living room which also has a sofa bed. It
has all modern facilities and is ideal for 2/3 people. The cottage is sited
on our 7 acre farm, which is part of a hamlet called Hortas.
The small market town of Cabaços is 5 minutes drive away and there are many historic sites and excellent shopping areas within an hours drive.
The surrounding area is perfect for walking, cycling, horse riding, and the nearby river Zezere offers swimming & other water sports. The Atlantic
coast with fabulous beaches is just over an hour’s drive away, but the
cottage also has a secluded sheltered garden, for days of relaxing at home
in the sun.
'The Donkey House'
This is the name we have given to the holiday cottage, which was converted
from a small barn at the end of 2005.

INSIDE THE COTTAGE:
1 DOUBLE BEDROOM
BATHROOM with a shower, basin & toilet.
KITCHEN/LIVING ROOM which also has a comfortable sofa bed. There is a gas
cooker with an electric oven and a micro-wave.

OUTSIDE:
BBQ area; garden furniture in a patio area and enclosed garden.

The cottage has CENTRAL HEATING, plus electric heaters if necessary for
cooler evenings and in the winter.

We also have a small equestrian centre on our farm, where visitors are able to ride Portuguese Lusitano horses, either as a separate activity during
their holiday, or as an organised riding holiday. Lessons and hacks in the
surrounding lanes and beautiful forests can be arranged for beginners upwards.

Weekly linen and towel change; final We also have a COT available for a child up to 3 years old.
