Welcome to Zororo ('rest' in Zulu), a tranquil and relaxing retreat deep in the peace of rural Central Portugal. Nestling at the edge of a traditional village in the Serra Lousa hills, a short walk from the beautiful River Ceira, we cater exclusively for adults to enjoy time away from the stresses of daily life (and children!) in the company of others who appreciate delicious food, great local wine and interesting conversation in well appointed surroundings.

The 5 bedrooms, all doubles with en-suite bathrooms, are generously proportioned, air-conditioned and centrally heated, each with a balcony; most have views across the valley to the forested hills opposite.

The main living areas are floored in Italian Travertine marble, the fittings are of oak, leather and wrought iron. There is a large dining room and guests living room, whilst below is a games room, with a pool table and bar football, small library and a large LCD TV with a stock of DVDs. Your stay includes the option of a three course evening meal, with aperitifs, wine (vinho tinto from our own adega), coffee, etc to be taken with your hosts Kevin and Tanaka.

Outside in the gardens is our new 11 metre swimming pool with mosaic sun bathing area, vine yard and fruit trees including orange, lemons and kiwis.

Within the local area are the nationally recognised heavily wooded valleys, crystal clear rivers and unspoilt hills of the Gois area, whilst the University city of Coimbra is 40 minutes away by car, with the Silver coast the same distance beyond that.

Bed and breakfast basis with evening meal and light lunch options. (vegetarian possible).

The full evening meal, always prepared from fresh local ingredients appropriate to the season, is taken together with other guests and your hosts, includes wine, liquors and coffee.

The Zororo Retreat includes a hard surface tennis court, and well equipped games room.

There is a 20% discount for single occupancy of double rooms.

Prices in Euros are based on an exchange rate of £1 = €1.10 and may be adjusted to reflect any changes.

High Season stays are those where the majority of nights booked are between 1st July and 31st August.

This accommodation encourages adults to relax and unwind in a calm and soothing rural environment, so regrettably children under the age of 18 are not allowed to stay.
