There are 3 wooden bungalows and one stone cottage for guests, 10 places for campers or caravans and some 20 sites for tents.
Olive and citrus trees give shade and you can pick your own oranges and lemons. The camping has a bar, sun terrace, a 11x 5.5m pool and a 'community building', which has a large wood burning stove and a small library, with the possibility to play games, read, watch TV, etc.
In the high season (July-August) there will be a daily service for breakfast and on certain days dinner.
Camping Redondo is a member of the 'Rota do Portugal' - a small group of rural camping's with English speaking (mostly Dutch) owners, spread from north to south throughout Portugal and within a day’s drive of each other.
Camping Redondo is open from 1st March to 1st October, special arrangements for groups are possible outside this period and the bungalows are also available year-round upon request.
The two acre site consists of a stepped terrain and caters for large and small tents as well as a limited number of caravans/campervans.
A few tent sites and all caravan sites have electricity.
Olive and citrus trees provide shade.
On three sides the area is bordered by vineyards.
The bungalows are fully furnished and have a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet plus kitchenette with cooking facilities and satellite TV.
The bungalows are:
Casa em Pedra - a traditional stone cottage with 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 single bed) and a double sofa bed in the lounge, an antique wood burning stove and a small secluded garden in the shade of a walnut tree.
A Bella Vista - a luxury wooden bungalow with 2 bedrooms (1 double and 2 single beds), wood burning stove in the lounge and a veranda along the front of the building. Mocicasa Upper and Lower - 2 smaller wooden bungalows with 2 bedrooms of which 1 has a double bed and the other has bunk-beds (3 tiers). The Mocicasas have an electric heater for early or late in the season.
In addition to the bungalows there is a caravan for 2 persons. It also has water, electricity and bottle gas.
Prices in euros:
Bungalows:
March & April: 50 per day / 300 per week
May, June & September: 60 per day / 360 per week.
July & August: 75 per day / 450 per week.
Caravan:
March & April: 20 per day / 120 per week
May, June & September: 23 per day / 140 per week.
July & August: 25 per day / 150 per week.
Meals:
Breakfasts daily & dinner on request.
Vegetarian meals available on request.
Extras:
Games room; hire of mountain bikes; 2 person canoe; horse riding and guided walks possible; massage therapy.
Duvets, pillows and bed-linen are provided, but towels are available for hire.
Internet access (Broadband) is available.
