Two-bedroom cottage in the village of Vila Seca just 4 kilometers from the town of Tabua in central Portugal.
Cottage consists of two bedrooms, one with double bed and second bedroom with a single bed, kitchen, sitting room, shower-room with wash hand basin, bidet, w.c. and shower. Outside there is a patio with table and chairs.
The kitchen has a gas cooker, gas boiler supplying hot water, fridge, kettle, toaster, juicer, with use of a large freezer in the nearby utility room that also houses the washing machine which is available for 4.00 euros per load
The cottage is heated in the winter months by a log burning fire.
There is a television, DVD player and connection to the Portuguese satellite system TV CABO which gives approximately 60 TV stations with many in English including SKY news. Guests can use the owners computer for emails, by arrangement.
Well-behaved dog welcome.
There are three seating areas, one to the front of the cottage on the patio, one in the flower garden and one on the lavender terrace. Guests can use the BBQ.
Tabua has a LIDL, a supermarket, a mini market, Post Office, banks and a good variety of local Portuguese shops and a newly opened British shop with all the bits you may miss from home. There is a Sunday morning market where you can breakfast on barbecued chicken or pork washed down with breakfast wine after checking out the fresh fruit and vegetables and home made bread on sale. There is also a indoor / outdoor swimming pool and a modern library along with large selection of cafes, bars and restaurants where you can get a three course lunch with wine for 6.00 euros.
Prices in euros:
200 per week, includes electricity, gas and satellite television. No seasonal supplement.
A small charge is made for logs for the wood burner.
10% deposit is required on booking.
Extras:
All bedding and towels are supplied.
As a special service for our guests we can arrange airports or train station pickups from Lisbon / Porto airports or Coimbra / Santa Comba Dao railway stations - price on application.
Long term rentals:
150 euros per week for 4 week bookings. Gas not included.
Use of owners computer available by arrangement.
