The cottages are decorated with rustic charm and have a homely feel about them. They offer you the choice of a room, an apartment or a whole house with magnificent views over the river Dão.
Three of the four cottages are dotted around 3 hectares on the riverside. The fourth house has its own grounds at about 500 meters from the other houses within 5 ha of land. All rooms and cottages have central heating. The quinta has a communal living room and library; swimming pool and children's pool; giant chess board; free canoes, kayaks and rowing boat; windsurf boards, small sailing boat & mountain bikes for hire. Tennis is just 2km away.

A twin or double bedroom (+ 1 extra bed) with river view; private bathroom; private veranda; use of large sitting/dinning room with open fire place; use of a refrigerator, a microwave and kettle (free tea & coffee); use of the large veranda; central heating and TV.
Casa das Mimosas
80 m from the river Dão with a splendid view of the quinta, the river and the old town of Santa Comba Dão.
Ground floor apartment (sleeps 2 + 2 extra beds) Double bedroom; sitting/dining room with kitchenette and two sofa beds; bathroom; private veranda and garden; central heating; barbecue.
First floor apartment (sleeps 4 + 2 extra beds) Double bedroom; twin bedroom; bathroom; WC; sitting/dinning room with open-plan kitchen and open fireplace; large private veranda with barbecue; central heating; private garden.
Whole house (sleeps 8 + 1 extra bed). Groups of up to 9 persons can rent both apartments. The ground floor living room will be changed into a twin bedroom and we can put 1 extra bed for a child in the upper part. The upper and lower part have no connection inside the house.
Casa da Abalenda (sleeps 4 + 2 extra beds)
Five minute walk from the quinta and all its facilities.
Double bedroom; twin bedroom with shower room/WC; bathroom; sitting/dining room with open fireplace, 2 sofa beds and TV; kitchen; veranda and garden; central heating; barbecue.

First floor apartment (sleeps 4 + 2 extra beds) Twin bedroom with private bathroom and TV; double bedroom with private bathroom and TV; sitting/dining room: kitchen; covered patio with barbecue; terraces and garden; central heating.
Whole house (sleeps 8 + 1 extra bed), the living room of the lower part can be changed into a double bedroom. We can put 1 extra bed for a child.

For the alternative-energy lovers:
We are proud to be able to say that almost the whole Quinta runs on solar power, not only for warm water, but for electricity as well.
Thanks to a small power plant, supplied by the sun, and the use of low-energy equipment (pumps, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, TVs, lamps etc.) you will have the same comfort as you are used to. In longer periods of clouded weather or very high energy consumption a generator will take care of a continuous supply.
We ask you not to waste electricity or warm water and if you bring your own electrical equipment, only use it with agreement of the owners. Mostly there are no objections.
If you are interested we will be happy to show you the installation and give some explication.
