Many visitors have noticed the magic of the place, and some have even called it a Sanctuary!
A small protected space between huge granite boulders provides the setting, with a natural well, a spring fountain, and, during the rainy season, a small brook. An old stable for donkeys, cows and sheep was recently transformed into a spacious house full of natural light - a piece of organic architecture that respects the spirit of both this ancient place and our modern time.
There are two bedrooms with a double bed in one and two separate beds in the other, bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen for self-caterers, and living room with double sofa bed. Additionally, there is a studio in a small separate building, with a comfortable double sofa bed, shower bath, and small pantry, to be rented out independently or together with the main house. An extra mattress can be provided. Woodstoves provide cosy warmth.
The village of Cabreira do Coa where the house is located, is very quiet and well preserved. It has a charming river, and ancient irrigation systems. An ideal place for a quiet inward looking holiday, cycling, walking, or a visit to the hills and mountains in the region. You can also visit the historical villages of Castelo Mendo, Castelo Bom, Almeida, Monsanto, or the interesting cities of Guarda, or Ciudad Rodrigo on the Spanish side of the border, all within 15 to 90 minutes reach.
For safety reasons, small children should be continuously supervised (we have a well, and woodstoves, and the stair rails are not designed for small children).

House : first two nights (minimum stay) 100. Additional nights : 40 per night
Studio : first two nights (minimum stay) 40. Additional nights : 15 per night
