In the heart of Portugal between Lisbon and Porto, and one hour from the coast.
Casa Monika is conveniently located in a hilly, wooded area, offering excellent opportunities for hiking and mountain biking. The nearby lakes of the Rio Zezere make this a perfect area for fishing, boating and swimming, with river beaches (praias fluviais) providing safe swimming for all the family.
Our holiday house for up to 6 persons, set in grounds of 1.500 sq.metres, is tastefully decorated, has a large patio area and covered parking for your car.
The house has a living room with a woodstove and satellite-TV (can also sleep 2); a fully-equipped kitchen with gas-stove and oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, refrigerator, coffee-machine, radio, and washing machine; 2 Twin Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms.
There is a Stonebassin (3x3.5m) for children to play in or for a cooling dip (open from 15 June to 31 August), surrounded by flowers and fruit-trees. On the large private roof-terrace with a gorgeous view you can enjoy sipping on a glass of port, while the setting sun paints the sky.
Enjoy this beautiful nature and leave all stress behind!
This part of Portugal is rich with old castles, churches and monasteries. You can find roman ruins (Conimbriga is most famous with beautiful mosaics), ancient stone bridges, and centuries-old walled villages.
If you like to experience a lively, young city with old traditions, go to Coimbra. Its university, high above the banks of the Rio Mondego, is one of the oldest in Europe and has a priceless library and botanical garden. End the day people-watching in one of the cafes at the downtown square - it's fun!
Another place of interest is Tomar. Above the town is the Castle of the Knight Templars with the fabulous additions of King Manuel's church and the renaissance cloister. Nearby is Fatima, the famous place of pilgrimage.
Or leave all the culture behind and drive to the atlantic coast with miles of sandy beaches and dunes.

Prices in euros:
Low season. November - March:
1-2 people: 44 per night.
3-4 people: 47.50 per night.
5-6 people: 52 per night.
Short stays of at least 2 nights possible (not high season).
Mid season. April - June & September - October:
1-2 people: 60 per night.
3-4 people: 63 per night.
5-6 people: 68 per night.
High season. July - August:
1-2 people: 83 per night.
3-4 people: 86 per night.
5-6 people: 92 per night.
High-season bookings are Saturday - Saturday (7 days minimum).
Extras:
Prices include gas, water, electricity (*) and cleaning.
(*) In times of heating we will supply you with firewood and/or space heaters. These costs are separate and electricity will be read on the Kilowattmeter.
Linens and towels are provided and will be changed once a week.
Winter rentals:
Max. 4 people. (electricity & firewood extra):

February - April: 600 per month
