"Além Do Mar" is a newly restored traditional house offering self catering accommodation in a comfortable rustic barn conversion for guests and use of a pool.
Set in an area famous for its goat breeding, Vale do Cobrão has pleasing slopes and terraces with olive, pine and eucalyptus and Portuguese oak, criss-crossed with paths, enjoying mild winters and plenty of sun all year.
Ideal for walking on public footpaths, painting, fishing(licence required), photography, bird watching or just plain relaxing! Tucked away in a pretty working village, surrounded in the traditions of Portuguese country living changed little by the modern world, Jenny and Colin offer a warm welcome. Enjoy a tranquil holiday in beautiful rural Portugal with lots of sun, peaceful surroundings and fresh local produce.
Two single beds in the annexe bed sitting room with a sofa bed suitable for two young children or one adult.
Additionally for large groups, we have a double bed in our guest bedroom with en-suite, fridge & kettle.
TV & DVD, gas fire for winter visitors.
Conservatory style modern kitchen-dining room: gas cooker, fridge, iron, dining table.
Shower room, toilet, bidet & wc. Bed linen and towels provided -except beach towels.
Pool and garden are shared only with the owners. Patio furniture and loungers on paved area around pool with gravel elsewhere.
Street parking. Traffic? Just the occasional goat!
No smoking within the accomodation but allowed in the garden.
Unfortunately, due to landscape it is not practical for wheelchair access to the property.
Guide dogs are welcomed but no pets please.
Prices in euros:
January-April: 25 per night / 150 per week - per person
May-June: 30 per night / 185 per week - per person
July-August: 37 per night / 220 per week - per person
September: 30 per night / 185 per week - per person
October-December: 25 per night / 150 per week - per person
Children 5 to 16 years, 20% of adult price. Under 5's free.
Adults in a party of five using the double room pay 75% of normal adult rate.
Extras
Two mountain bikes for hire at 7.25 euros each per day.
Welcome pack - fresh milk, tea, coffee, sugar, bread, butter, cheese, cereals of your choice, bottle of wine and bottled drinking water.
Baby sitting service if required.
